Seth Orlow, MD, PhD, FAAD

One of the original founders of the Dermatology Summit and Dermatology Innovation Forum, Seth is a Senior Advisor at Pharus Advisors, where he advises companies, boards and investors on domestic and cross-border M&A, including sell-side and buy-side transactions, strategic alternatives, licensing and financings. His work focuses particularly on dermatology, pharmaceuticals, consumer health, medical aesthetics, personal care and beauty.

Dr. Orlow is a professor of dermatology, cell biology and pediatrics at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. From 2006 to 2026, he served as Chair of its Ronald O. Perelman Department of Dermatology. He has authored more than 200 scientific and medical publications.

Dr. Orlow is an Independent Director of publicly traded Almirall, S.A., where he is the founding Chair of the board committee charged with oversight of R&D and M&A. He also serves on the board of R2 Technologies, developer of the Glacial® medical-aesthetics platform.

In 1995, Dr. Orlow co-founded Anaderm, a cosmeceutical discovery company, which was acquired in 2002 by Pfizer, its major shareholder. From 2001 to 2010, he progressed from Advisor to Partner at Easton Capital Partners, a venture capital firm focused on healthcare and consumer products.

He earned an AB, magna cum laude, in Biochemical Sciences from Harvard College and an MD and PhD in Molecular Pharmacology from Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He holds FINRA Series 63 and 79 registrations.
