Biography

Dr. Breslin is the Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer of the nonprofit Advancing Innovation in Dermatology (AID). In these roles she is responsible for leading the organization’s staffing, programs, and activities for the shorter-term and longer-term execution of its mission and oversees the organization’s financial and accounting operations. In 2016 she founded Breslin Consulting LLC, an independent consultant firm to biopharma and nonprofit organizations in the areas of business development and operational strategy.

Trained as a virologist, she began her career at PTC Therapeutics, Inc. initially as part of the antiviral research team discovering small molecules for the treatment of HIV and Hepatitis C, and subsequently within corporate development. She helped build the Alliance Management function and as Director of Business Development was responsible for licensing and technology partnering campaigns in oncology, infectious diseases, and genetic disorders, and supported private and public financing events.

Dr. Breslin received her B.S. in Molecular Biology from Florida Institute of Technology, her Ph.D. in virology from North Carolina State University, and studied as a post-doctoral fellow at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.
